The Pizza Express Romana pizza range uses a thinner, crispier, bigger base than the classic pizzas at Pizza Express. They look massive when they arrive, but the base is light and easy to eat so not really filling.
The Pizza Express Diavolo pizza - £11.95 - is a combination of spicy beef, pepperoni, green pepper, red onion, Tabasco sauce and comes with either green, roquito or jalapeno peppers (I picked the jalapeno).
It has loads of toppings which did make the base a bit soggy in the middle, and I think I prefer a pizza with not so much stuff on it. I enjoyed it, but I don't think it was a good as the American Hot. I've also had the Rustichella before which I really liked.
I love the Romana base pizza's but next time I have one I'll try a different flavour. I wouldn't order a Diavolo again.
