Tesco have recently re-vamped their finest range and I wanted to see if they had improved their Wood Fired Margherita which last time I reviewed got a decidedly average 3 out of 6 pizza slices.
It's a 10" pizza which is just big enough for one. Cooking instructions are 6 - 8 minutes from chilled at 200 degrees Celsius. The base was nice thin just like a traditional Italian pizza. It was crispy all the way through to the centre, which in my experience most store bought pizza are'nt. I cooked it for 10 minutes. The toppings matched the base and were delicious. Mmmmmmm.
The only thing I'd mark this pizza down for was the amount of toppings, otherwise this would have received 6 out of 6 pizza slices. A huge improvement on last time I had this pizza.
I tried a couple of pieces the next morning. In common with almost all store bought pizza I've tried it was disappointing. I believe that the only pizza that tastes great the next morning is real Italian pizza.
