This Tesco's Finest Chiant Reserva 2009 is a 'Riserva' which means it has to be aged at least 27 months before release. This particular one was aged 3 years in oak, followed by 'further refinement in the bottle'.
It's a very nice dark red wine, with a rich autumnal taste. It has a spicy kick.
This wine is a perfect accompaniment for a roast, red meat or stew's. I think it's a bit too heavy for a pizza. It's still very lovely though!
